Happy New Year! It is so great to have all the children back in school, we missed their sweet faces. As you think about your new year’s resolutions, consider adding “Pray more with my child”. We pray with your child at school a lot. We pray before we eat, if a friend is home sick and sometimes if we need God to help us have more patience with our friends. Our teachers pray together each morning for you and your family. Prayer is so helpful when you don’t know what to do if your child is distressed or helping them deal with problems. We need to teach our children that God is always here for us. Giving our fears and worries to God can help us deal with problems and help relieve the stress we feel in trying to handle things on our own.

Thank you Compass preschool families for all the wonderful toy donations for Our Children’s House of Baylor Dallas. With your help, all 25 children spending Christmas in the hospital received at least 2 toys each! We are incredibly thankful and grateful for your help in making Christmas a lot merrier for these precious children.

Donations for January
This month we are collecting kitchen items for Safe Haven in Fort Worth. These do not need to be new items, just clean out your kitchen drawers and bring in what you don’t need anymore. A box is located outside of the preschool office. http://www.safehaventc.org/
