On Friday, April 17, 2020, Governor Abbott announced that his team of medical advisers determined that it would be unsafe for students to gather at schools for the foreseeable future. As a result, classrooms will remain closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. We are so very sad about the abrupt end to our school year and long to see your sweet children’s faces.
Our teachers have continued to work diligently to make the transition to home learning fun by providing Zoom meetings and Facebook activities. Teachers have been granted permission to return to the building to gather supplies and to wrap up a few unexpected loose ends. As such, you will be hearing from your teacher soon regarding items and how they will be distributed by grade level.
CCP is still looking into the possibility of summer camp. We will send out more information as it becomes available. The leadership team is in constant contact with the church as well as waiting to see when county officials determine when, and if, large groups will be able to safely gather this summer.
