October Newsletter

From the Director

Fall is here!  October is one of my favorite times at preschool, not only do we have cooler weather, but the firefighters come to visit.  The students learn to rake leaves and I get to make pumpkin waffles with each class.  In years past, parents could come in and help on pumpkin waffles day, not only was this a huge help but many friendships were made in the kitchen.  It can be hard to make friends as adults, especially with young children and of course, Covid.  I am so excited about a new group that the church has started for preschool families called, The Bridge.  THey have planned events and meetings to connect preschool moms to each other and to the church to cultivate friendships and navigate moms to God.  The group is inclusive of all preschool moms.  Moms do not need to be members of the church or have a child enrolled in the preschool to be part of The Bridge.  We would love to see you at our October events.  The Bridge group will host a relaxing mom’s night out and an amazing guest speaker, @thedocsmitty_Pediatrician_dad.  October events include:

Thursday, October 14 – 9:15 a.m. Meeting at Compass Center

Monday, October 18 – 6:30 p.m. Mom’s Night Out at Harvest Hall

Construction Update

Construction in the building is moving ahead and we are getting excited to see the finished project.  To allow the construction company to complete a major welding project upstairs and stay on schedule, the preschool will have to close the Ones, Twos and Threes classes from Tuesday, October 26 – Friday, October 29, 2021.  Transitional Kindergarten will move to Compass Center for the week.

We will prorate November tuition for the Ones, Twos and Threes classes, please see the prorated rates below”

$260.00 Tuition per month is prorated to $202.00

$380.00 Tuition per monthly is prorated to $292.00

If you have already paid your November tuition, please pay the prorated rate in December.

Musical Notes

This month in music class, we are going on a bunch of adventures: We will drive firetrucks, zoom like airplanes, dance with pumpkins, and Skip to my Lou! We will play egg shakers, sticks, tambourines, and drums.

Our focus on chapel is singing songs about God and His love for all people.  It is my deepest wish to help children understand that God loves us all – even if we are little! We will sing “Jesus Loves Me,” “Will You be a Friend of Mine,” and “If You’re a Helper and You Know It,” among our many songs this month.

Ms. Anna
