All Classes

At Compass Christian Preschool we strive to educate the whole child.  Our teaching supports and nurtures all areas of a child’s development and learning from social, emotional, physical and spiritual growth to cognitive skills such as literacy, math, science and gross and fine motor skills.

ALL students, regardless of age group, will experience:

  • Up to an hour of playtime a day, 30 minutes indoor and 30 minutes outdoor (weather permitting)
  • A minimum of 45 minutes of free choice center time.
  • Literacy Circle Time
  • Calendar Circle Time

Centers encourage the following in early childhood:

  • Social growth
  • Time management
  • Self Regulation
  • Exploration in what they are interested in
  • Language development
  • Opportunity to learn new skills
  • Opportunity to practice existing skills

  • Second Steps Social/Emotional Curriculum

Ones Classes

The main focus of our curriculum in our One-Year-Old program is to develop their social and emotional skills. Our goal is to help them transition to a school environment making them feel loved and secure.

Children in our Two-Year-Old program follow an age appropriate curriculum that helps them develop their social and emotional skills as well as cognitive development.

Our Three-Year-Old classes are designed to give children the basic skills they will need to be successful in their social and emotional skills as well as taught age appropriate hands-on experience to learn basic letter, number, shape and color concepts.

Fours Classes

Students in our Four-Year-Old program are provided whole child learning experiences through our specially designed curriculum. The curriculum is developed using the skills that the Grapevine Colleyville and Carroll School Districts want students to have when entering kindergarten.

Transitional-Kindergarten

This program is designed for students who have finished a Four-Year-Old program and need an extra year to grow before entering kindergarten. The curriculum is developed using the skills that the Grapevine Colleyville and Carroll School Districts want students to have when entering kindergarten.
