The Transitional Kindergarten program is designed for students who have completed a Four-Year-Old program and need an extra year to develop and grow before entering kindergarten. The curriculum is developed using the skills that the Grapevine-Colleyville and Carroll School Districts want students to possess when entering kindergarten. Balances of hands-on and formal teaching styles are used to meet each child’s individual level and they continue learning basic handwriting skills using the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum and workbooks. Individual and small group instruction is provided to help meet the needs of each student. The children attend developmentally appropriate music class once each week and chapel once a week with the three and four-year-old classes. The TK class also enjoys playtime on our indoor and outdoor play areas each week.
