July 27, 2023: Kim’s Summer Letter

Dear Compass Christian Preschool Families,

I want to welcome you to the 23-24 school year. The first day of school for all students is Tuesday, September 5, 2023. We are excited to announce that all classes will be held at our Compass Colleyville location, 2600 Hall Johnson Road.

Below is information about the upcoming school year:

• Our website is compasspreschool.com.  You will be able to find important dates and information on our website. In addition, please follow our Facebook page at Compass Preschool.  Our phone number is 817-796-5123; please put this number in your cell phone; the number on your screen may be 817-906-1478, the church number.

• WALK-UP DROP-OFF & PICK-UP – All students will be dropped off and picked up at their classroom. We expect each family to follow the health guidelines in the Parent Handbook and keep any student exhibiting symptoms of illness at home.

• TEACHER INTRODUCTIONS – Each classroom teacher will call families in late August to introduce herself and learn more about your child. If you have any questions before then, please contact the preschool office at 817-796-5123.

• MEET THE TEACHER – Meet the Teacher is come and go Friday, September 1^st, from 11am – 12 pm.

• STUDENT RECORDS – We must have a copy of your child’s immunization record and signed physician’s statement (page 5) on file by August 1, 2023.  Children will not be allowed to attend school after the first week without these items on file. Children in the four-year-old program and Transitional Kindergarten program must have a hearing and vision screening conducted by their pediatrician and a copy given to the preschool.  Please note your child’s class at the top of the forms; (Example: 2s, 3s, etc.)

• FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL – Tuesday, September 5^th, 2023 from 9am – 2pm. **Ones will dismiss at 11:30 am for the first week only, September 5^th and 7^th.

• NAP MATS – You can find generic mats at Wal-Mart and fancier mats online. Remember it is a nap mat, not a sleeping bag, and will need to fit in the cubbies at school.  In addition, it must be able to be washed or wiped off. The Fours & TK Classes do not need nap mats.

• LUNCHES – Lunchboxes will be allowed but must be thoroughly cleaned before the next school day.  

• TUITION – Payments are only processed through the Compass Preschool website under the “pay online” tab. You will have the option of an ACH transaction with no fee, or a Credit Card payment with a $4.00 per transaction service fee. Recurring payments can be set up on this system, with the option of paying forward at any time. This online payment portal is the only payment option this year. We will not be processing bank drafts, checks, or cash on campus.  Tuition is due on or before the 1^stof the month and late after the 6^th.  For financial questions, please contact lindypappas@mycompasschurch.com.

• POTTY TRAINING – Please remember that children in our three, four, and transitional kindergarten classes MUST be fully potty trained. They cannot come to school in pull-ups or diapers. Children not potty trained in our threes, fours, or TK classes will need to withdraw from the program until they are fully potty trained. If you are struggling with potty training, please call me.

Our team looks forward to seeing all of you this fall. Please let us know if your situation has changed and your child will not be attending Compass Christian Preschool. We have a wait list with families waiting to get their children into the school.

July 27, 2023:  REMINDER – CCP PARENTS:

This is just a reminder,  ALL student medical records are due by Tuesday, August 1, 2023.  This includes shot records and the Physician’s Statement signed by your doctor for ALL students.  Students in the fours and TK are also required to have a hearing and vision screening.  If your child has an allergy which requires medication an Allergy Action Plan signed by your doctor is required.  Contact Taylor Helgason for Allergy Action Plans.

If your child has a doctor visit after August 1, 2023, simply email me stating that and I will place a copy of your email in your student’s file until we have the actual records.
